Getting ready for Fibre East

All I seem to have been doing for the past 2 weeks, since Woolfest, is wash and dye fleece as well as dye some merino/plant fibre tops.

ImageHere is the Gotland Fleece drying on the clothes airer in the garden, and you can see at on end some of the Gotland Fleece that I’ve dyed.

I’ve ordered 60 yarn bowls from the potter, which hopefully will be sufficient to last the whole show and I don’t run out as I have done at both Wonderwool and Woolfest!

This is part of today’s dying effort, a large Teeswater x Masham fleece, 800gms BFL and Seacell and 1200gms Merino & Bamboo tops, which thanks to this lovely sunny weather we are having at the moment, most of which is now dry and ready to be bagged. labelled and priced.

I’ll continue dyeing some more tops during the coming week, with the aim of stopping by the weekend so that I can start to pack the trailer the week after. I’ve bought some new display equipment and I’m not sure how they are going to pack away in the trailer, so rather than leave it to the last minute, I’d rather take a bit of time. But it could all change!!!!
